The Verdict: 4.7/5 Stars
Pegasus Pest Control is the “anti-corporate” choice for the Sacramento valley. While the national chains prioritize speed and volume, Pegasus has built a loyal following in West Sacramento and Land Park by focusing on Technician Communication. If you are a homeowner who wants to know exactly what is being sprayed and why, this is your team.
They are particularly strong for residents dealing with Spider Bursts and Garden Ants. Their technicians (like Chris and Jordan) are frequently praised for their “bedside manner”—taking the time to walk the perimeter with the homeowner and pointing out specific entry points like loose weep holes or overgrown vegetation that competitors often overlook.
- Exceptional Communication: Techs like Chris are known for explaining the process step-by-step to put homeowners at ease.
- Detailed De-Webbing: They don’t just spray; they are meticulous about clearing webs from eaves and patio furniture against spiders.
- Unbeatable Pricing: Many reviews cite their rates as some of the most competitive in the 916 area code.
- Smaller Fleet: Being a local specialist means they have fewer trucks; same-day emergency slots can be rare.
- Office Tech: Their scheduling and notification systems are more “old school” compared to app-based national competitors.
- Structural Limitation: They are maintenance pros; for major structural termite repairs, they may refer out.
1. The “Education-Based” Maintenance Plan
In Sacramento’s river-adjacent neighborhoods, pests are a constant pressure. Pegasus uses an education-based model. Instead of just a “splash and dash” foundation spray, they identify the conditions that attract pests. For example, in West Sacramento, they focus heavily on irrigation boxes and crawl space vents—the primary entry points for Turkestan Roaches and Norway Rats.
2. Pegasus Pricing (2026 Estimates)
Pegasus is known for “No Fluff” pricing. They offer high value by focusing on technician labor rather than expensive marketing.
| Service | Estimated Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Initial Start-Up Service | $125 – $195 | Detailed clean-out and property audit. |
| Bi-Monthly Maintenance | $75 – $105 / visit | Includes full eave de-webbing and barrier. |
| Specialized Roach Treatment | $250+ | For heavy indoor infestations (German Roaches). |

3. Real Customer Feedback (2024-2025 Data)
We analyzed verified reviews from Sacramento and Yolo counties. The “Technician IQ” is the standout theme.
“Chris is an Asset”
Verified customer Victoria W. wrote: “Chris made us very comfortable and explained step by step how the process works. He followed all instructions and didn’t mind me texting him when I had questions later. He is truly an asset.”
“Jordan is Super Punctual”
Another review noted: “Jordan was on-time, communicative, and very professional. He cleared every web from my patio furniture and explained why the ants were coming from the neighbor’s fence.”
